Chiara Barden is the founder of Better by Design, an AI enablement consultancy based in Midlothian, Virginia. With 20+ years of business leadership experience across nonprofit, education, finance, civil engineering, and professional services, she founded Better by Design to help organizations stop waiting on AI and start using it — practically, confidently, and in ways that actually fit how their teams work.
She holds four Anthropic certifications — AI Fluency for Educators, Teaching the AI Fluency Framework, AI Fluency for Nonprofits, and Introduction to Claude Cowork — and brings a practitioner’s lens to every engagement. Chiara works primarily with nonprofits, professional service firms, and leadership teams who are ready to move from curiosity to confident action.
